deep dark forests  and then there is the shimmering sea and hills containing the remnants of old villages of Zakynthos that   allows my artistic ideas to wander between beautiful historic buildings, amazing birds of prey, jewel  coloured sunsets and seas that change like the seconds on a clock.

For years I struggled   with the teacher's lessons believing    I had to "loosen up my style" not worry about what it looks like but rather "how it feels", well I  feel that every brick  matters, when I     look at a painting and the  brick work is incorrect it feels off, and the more you know a building the greater the sense    that something  is not quite    right , so now I paint every brick, I paint what I feel and when you look at a building that  you love,  it will feel   right, comfy, like coming   home and you will stare at it  like    an old friend through new eyes.

Every piece I    work on is my favourite until  I start the next, then I get to fall in love all over again. I hope you  find  a  piece  that you  fall in love with even if it's only a brief affair ... x   Vanessa
